Home-made apple chips are the best! Food photography is art, yes? So I shall include it. Plus, I want to make some more!

To make your own, all you need are some apples and powdered sugar if you would like to sweeten it. Also prepare your baking sheet by laying a sheet of parchment paper to cover the surface.

Cut the apples in thin circle slices. You don’t want it to be too thin nor too thick, perhaps 1/4 inch thick. And lay those slices on the baking sheet you prepared. If you would like to sweeten it, this is the time you can dust some on.

Bake at 200F for 1 hour. Then flip the slices, and you can add another dusting of powdered sugar if you want, but I usually only add powdered sugar on one side and it’s sweet enough. Bake for another hour at 200F or until golden and dry.

Depending on how thick or thin your slices are, check in 5 minute intervals to see if you are happy with the coloring.

When you remove your baking sheet from the oven, let it sit to cool before eating, as that will make it crunchy. To save for later, put cooled slices in a zip lock bag or air tight container to retain the crunch.

These taste amazing alone, with tea/coffee, or even as a crunchy side to your salad :) Enjoy!

Please do let me know if you try this, or if you do it differently. I’d live to see what you do. Also don’t forget to like and share this with your peeps ;)
