After some counting, I realize that it’s been almost 9 months since my last post. That’s an absurdly long break, and I’m embarrassed. In my defense I’ve been extremely busy with my new art business. I guess it’s all about balance. Although I’m doing more art than ever, you couldn’t tell from this blog!
I enjoy documenting, and sharing challenges and discoveries, but I haven’t had the time. A more accurate explanation is that I haven’t been able to strike a balance between running a business and still doing art for me. When I document and blog about my experiences, it’s an opportunity for even deeper understanding of what’s been done. I’ve really missed it.
To start things off, how about a peek into what I’ve been up to on the business side?
A couple weeks ago, I visited Jerry’s Artarama in Knoxville, Tennessee. As you may know, I currently live in Fairbanks, Alaska where art supplies are limited. Jerry’s Artarama was my playground. I had so much fun just browsing the vast selection of art materials. And it didn’t hurt that they let me record the whole thing!
